AWARDS AND BURSARIES

Many awards and bursaries are available to students pursuing post-secondary education. Please consult the SFU Awards and Financial Aid website.

There are also awards specifically for those pursuing post-secondary education in a second official language, such as the Bourse pour l’étude d’une langue officielle and the Bourse d’études de la FFCB. The FCP Student Advisor can provide application forms and information on other bursaries.

You may also apply for a bursary to participate in the Explore program, a five-week intensive program in French language and culture at a Canadian francophone university during the summer.

The Official Languages Study Fellowship

The Official Languages Study Fellowship is funded by the Government of Canada and administered by the British Columbia Ministry of Education. It is granted to full-time students registered to a francophone or bilingual post-secondary academic institutions of Canada and following at least 60% of his/her courses in French.

French Cohort Program Endowment Fund

The French Cohort Program Endowment Fund suppots the FCP Exchange Awards that are available to third-year FCP students in good academic standing who qualifiy for the exchange program at a francophone university. Make a donation online. Download the giving form (PDF).

STUDENT LOANS

Full-time undergraduate students may also be eligible for BC and Canada Student Loans.
