Lily Cryan
A compelling example of a student who follows through with her passion in Danceand Communication, Lily Cryan has found her niche by combining the value of both disciplines.
“I find that Communication is a nice complement to my Dance degree as it gets me back into the world of academia after long days of moving…A lot of what happens in dance is freelance work and I know that my foundation in Communication will help me build my portfolio, manage myself as a professional artist, and use my writing and research skills to apply to grants and start programs.”
Since coming to SFU, she has found that university is all about the interconnectivity between passionate students. Her involvement with the Dance Student Union has led to the coordination of successful interdisciplinary student shows, and she continues to further engage with Vancouver’s growing arts community.
