Congratulations to our convocation medal winners!


Helena excelled as a top student in our undergraduate Communication program.  During her time at SFU Helena sat on departmental committees, volunteered with student organizations such as SFU OpenMedia.ca, and worked as part of the organizing team for Media Democracy Days, a signature event for alternative, independent, and democratic media in Canada.  She is being recognized with the award of Dean's Convocation Medal at the FCAT Convocation Ceremony.

Dr. Joshua Tanenbaum is an outstanding graduate students who recently completed his PhD in the School of Interactive Arts + Technology. While at SFU he took advantage of every opportunity he could.  He published a series of works, held several workshops and exhibitions, and won numerous awards for his work. He and is also a founding member of the Transformative Play Lab. Dr. Joshua Tanenbaum is being recognized with the award of the Dean of Graduate Studies Convocation Medal.
