Environment Research Talks is a combination of two events, the 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) graduate competition and the Sixth Annual Undergraduate Student Symposium (USS) which feature thesis and research presentations from graduate and undergraduate students from the Faculty of Environment, with their own set of rules.

Undergraduate Student Symposium (USS)

Celebrating the diverse work of Faculty of Environment Undergraduate Students, our undergraduate students will be presenting their research findings, honours theses or work experiences. From this you will learn a lot about our passionate students, the causes they've invested in, and their most recent accomplishments!

3MT

The 3MT competition challenges graduate students to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in just three minutes in language appropriate to a general audience. 3MT is not an exercise in trivializing or ‘dumbing-down’ research but forces students to consolidate their ideas and crystallize their research discoveries.

Invitation to join in support, fun, lean.
