Next Steps

Congratulations on your offer of admission and welcome to the Faculty of Environment! Our Faculty has four departments and you selected a program in one of them when you applied. They include the Department of Archaeology, the School of Environmental Science, the Department of Geography and the School of Resource and Environmental Management.

Last fall, you planned to start university in September 2020 and we encourage you to enact this plan. Whether it involves in person or online classes, we will support you along the way.  Just bring your curiosity and join our community of change makers who will help you graduate prepared to shape a sustainable future.

Environmental Science Students Adapt to Online Learning

Tara Holland, the instructor in the EVSC capstone class, is passionate about how to improve student learning and uses several innovative teaching techniques. This term, the COVID-19 pandemic required a dramatic shift in course delivery.

Hands on Experience

During your time at SFU you will be presented with opportunities to learn both inside and outside of the classroom. Take advantage of some of our experiential learning opportunities such as field schools, stewardship events and more.

Take part in Archaeology's Portugal field school.
