Biography

Ryan Woods is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Heath Sciences, a Scientist in the Department of Cancer Control Research at the BC Cancer Research Institute, and currently the Director of Data and Analytics, at BC Cancer.

 

Research Interests

Ryan’s research interests generally relate to the use of administrative and registry data to explore problems in cancer control, with a particular interest in oncology outcomes research, cancer screening and health inequities within the cancer system. Ryan’s team uses data analytic, epidemiologic and health services research methods to compare patient outcomes across different populations, including international benchmarking work, assess equity gaps in preventive and other cancer service utilization, and evaluate cancer care system performance.
