Global Health Governance

Global  health governance concerns the collective responses needed, within the public health community and beyond, to effectively tackle the shared health challenges arising in an increasingly interconnected world.  Our research and teaching assesses the degree to which existing institutions and practices can be considered "good governance" and the degree to which they protect and promote population health.  In addition to the reform of existing state-based institutions, rules and practices, our research considers what role non-state actors and institutions play in governing health.
