Research

Established in September 2004, the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University was formed to promote interdisciplinary health research that fosters scientific discovery on the multiple factors that shape health experiences over the life course. To this end, FHS has adopted a population and public health perspective as a framework for its diverse research programs. This perspective provides a basis for facilitating interdisciplinary engagement and problem-solving of health issues that span molecular and cellular processes, field-based investigation, intervention and evaluation, as well as policy processes that promote the health of communities.
