Biography:

Stephen Steele works at the intersection of history and literature. He has published a monograph on Ivan Goll's American exile. He is co-author of a book on Louis de Gonzague Frick. He is the author of numerous articles on Richard Aldington, Roger Allard, Louis Aragon, Marc Bloch, André Breton, Jean Cocteau, Gustave Cohen, René Crevel, Didier Daeninckx, Robert Desnos, Wilhelm Friedmann, André Gide, Mireille Havet, Jean Malaquais, Jacques Maritain, Patrick Modiano, Louisa Paulin, Alexei Remizov, Edouard Roditi, Victor Serge and Didier Van Cauwelaert.  He has also published on Chrétien de Troyes and contributed to Trobairitz studies.
