Official Community Plan

In 1996 Simon Fraser University and the City of Burnaby agreed on an Official Community Plan that provides the framework that has guided the continued development on Burnaby Mountain. The Plan provides for the University's institutional needs as well as for non-University development, and was prepared to form the basis for rezoning of lands to permit leasehold subdivision for development of market housing. This has led to the creation UniverCity, a model, sustainable residential community, located adjacent to the Simon Fraser University Burnaby campus.
