BFA Graduating Exhibition 2012
I flux

April 14 – April 28, 2012
Audain Gallery, Vancouver

The Visual Art students at SFU's School for the Contemporary Arts present I flux, an exhibition that showcases the work of the undergraduate "class of 2012."

To flux is to transfer energy, to change, to flow, and to respond. As a group, we flux and are in flux, with each individual always unique and shifting in motivation and direction. We act and react to reflect our times, and adapt to changing circumstances and ideals. Our positions are transitory and fleeting in the extended formation of what is slowly coming into being. The insight and understanding we have gleaned from the past four odd years of pedagogy and self-discovery unites the work in this exhibition. By claiming the act of flux with the possessive "I", we mean to denote both pragmatism and a choice: for now, we choose to flux rather than remain in stasis.

I flux features work by Meredith Carr, Katie Chow, Sairom Kwon, Stacey Leung, Zoe Liu, Corrie Neyrinck, Tamara Robson, Jacquelyn Ross, Sarah Stilwell, Yi Xin Tong, Shelley Wang and Natasha Zimich.

Presented by the School for the Contemporary Arts at SFU.
