Data

Our primary data analysis is derived from the 2001 British Columbia census database. Attribute fields containing the socioeconomic records required by the deprivation indices will be incorporated as well as statistical data linking morbidity and mortality records to those areas using data from British Columbia’s vital statistics records. Data acquisition will be derived from the Resource Data Library through the W.A.C. Bennett Library on the campus of Simon Fraser University. Currently, the Bennett library provides access to the CHASS database housed within the Computing in the Humanities and Social Sciences Department, University of Toronto to access the British Columbia Beyond 20/20 census database.
