 PRINTING CREDIT:

All users obtain a credit of $5.00 per course for printing at the beginning of the semester. Your current printing credit is displayed in a yellow window at the top-right of your desktop. For some SIS users, the current printing may not be displayed in your desktop. If you would like to know the current printing credit, please contact a lab administrator.

To purchase additional printing credits please see a lab administrator during regular office hours:

  • Christopher Au-Yeung - RCB 6200
  • Justin Song - RCB 6200
  • Please Note : There are no refunds for printing credit. Any remaining credits will be deleted at the end of the semester along with your account.

PRITING RECOMMENDATIONS:

- do not print black & white jobs to the colour printer since you will be charged the much higher colour rate.

- if multiple people are printing or your print job is large ( > 1 MB), a popup balloon may appear saying the 'document failed to print'. You can safely ignore the message and given some time your document *will* print.

- you can cancel your job by going to the jobs window by clicking the printer icon at the lower right corner of the window, however you will still be charged for the job due to how the printer accounting software works. Therefore, please make sure to PREVIEW your print job before sending it to the printer.

- The default printer is the B&W printer in the room in which you are seated, however always check before printing because software applications often save or alter the settings.
