Importance of Epidemiological Knowledge

While GIS is useful as a tool for analyzing the spatial dimensions of tuberculosis, epidemiological knowledge must constitute the basis of any analysis. Thus, an understanding of the epidemiology of tuberculosis must accompany an understanding of the nature of spatial phenomena and the ability to operate GIS software.
