ArcIMS Tool Descriptions

	Toggle legend/layer list: Enables users to turn layers on and off an active theme, and convert to viewing layer lagends
	Toggle overview map
	Zoom In tool: Zoom in to a particular area by either clicking in the center of an area or by dragging a box around an area
	Zoom out: Zoom out to a particular area in the view by either clicking in the center of an area of dragging box around an area
	Zooms to full extent: Zooms to the full spatial extent of all the themes in your view
	Zoom to active layer: Zooms to the spatial extent of the active theme in your view
	Back to last extent: Zooms back to the previous extent
	Next extent: Zooms forward to the next extent
	Pan: Lets you pan the view by dragging the display in any direction with the mouse
	Identify: Get information on one feature of map, click on lines or polygon for active theme to view the database record
	Query: Allows the user to query the active theme database and displays the results in a table
	Find: enables the user to find information when a theme is active for fields in the database
	Measure: Allows the user to measure distances on the map viewer
	Set Units: Sets the map viewer units i.e. feet, meters, kilometers
	Select by Rectangle: Select an area and view the records from the database for the active theme
	Select by Circle: Select an area and view the records from the database for the active theme
	Select by Line: Select an area and view the records from the database for the active theme
	Select by Polygon: Select an area and view the records from the database for the active theme
	Buffer: Allow the user to create a buffer around the selected feature
	MapNotes: Enable the user to turn mapnotes function on.
	Attributes: Allow the user to view the attributes table of the active layer
	Clear Selection: Enables the user to clear a rectangle or section from selected region of the active theme
