Give to SFU Geography

The life of all human communities unfolds in a world of extraordinary diversity and constant change. For more than 50 years, SFU’s Geography Department has been a centre for the study of that diverse and changing world. We explore the social, biophysical and informational dimensions of these dynamics from a wide range of perspectives on many different subjects: from the political-economic transformation of modern cities and human-environment relations to climate change and the ways glacial and hydrological process shape our landscapes. Our work involves a combination of theoretical creativity and rigorous empirical research that integrates environmental processes, human societies, and innovative technologies to understand their interaction. The result is an interdisciplinary approach to some of the most pressing challenges posed by the modern world.

There are many different ways to support the Department of Geography and 100% of your gift will go directly to the fund or program that you designate.
