Welcome to Bing Lu
Bing Lu joins us as an Assistant Professor in Remote Sensing of Global Environmental Change (July 1, 2020). Bing holds a PhD (2017) in Geography from the University of Toronto and has worked in the environmental sector as a senior remote sensing scientist. He has an impressive publication record that investigates global environmental change and its impacts on different ecosystems and environments (grassland, wetland, coastal) using remote sensing. At SFU he plans to focus on documenting environmental change in coastal environments and developing remote sensing technologies and methods. He has taught remote sensing and quantitative methods undergraduate courses as a sessional lecturer at University of Toronto and will teach remote sensing and biosphere courses at SFU.
