Please join us in celebrating Dr. Stephen Duguid's next step in his GLS journey as a Professor Emeritus and new Simon's chair! Steve has devoted the last 27 years to SFU's Graduate Liberal Studies program as a passionate instructor and dedicated director and and in so doing has made his mark on all of us.  We are fortunate that Steve has chosen to continue to work with GLS students, faculty, and alumni in this mentoring role.

Dr. Jerry Zaslove has been appointed a Simon's Fellow for the next year and a half and will be advising students and continuing to work on student supervisory committees and doing Directed Readings courses as required.

Dr. Michael Kenny is taking well-deserved next step into official retirement as he moves forward with focusing on his personal studies and some over-due relaxation! We are forever grateful for all of the years of commitment and hard work that Michael has put into the program since joining GLS as an instructor in 2007.

Finally, thanks to Dr. Gary McCarron for taking on the role of Acting Director on top of his role as Graduate Chair for the 2018 spring semester. We know that we will be in good hands until Sasha returns from her sabbatical in time for the Fall 2018 semester.
