Patricia Fleischmann, BPE, BA (Justice Studies); Gero cert. candidate
Constable Fleischmann is in her 20th year of service with the Toronto Police Department. She is currently assigned to Community Mobilization with administrative responsibilities for older/vulnerable adult abuse and neglect, as well as mental health issues. Patricia is a graduate of Durham College, McMaster University and Ryerson University, where she made the Dean’s Honour List while receiving her degree in Justice Studies. Her honours thesis was on “Understanding the Barriers and Challenges that Older Abused or Neglected Adults Encounter in Accessing the Canadian Criminal Justice System.” Presently, she is working towards her Gerontology Certificate at Ryerson University. Patricia has worked all areas of law enforcement, mainly uniform capacity, including primary response and community relations, plus frauds, warrants and plainclothes duties. She is an active member of the International Association of Women Police, Special Events Director with Ontario Women in Law Enforcement and a founding member of Law Enforcement Agencies Protecting Seniors (LEAPS).
