SFU Women's Centre

What's in the SFU Women's Centre?

The women’s centre offers two main areas to our students:

24/7 Lounge Area: Open to all self-identified women! The lounge is a great place to study and hang out with other women. There are chairs, couches, and blankets for napping, and a fully equipped kitchen and fridge for making your own food. They have menstrual and safer sex supplies, tea, coffee, snacks and canned food, and information on support resources on and off campus. – all for free! Trans and intersex women are welcome in the lounge and gender policing will not be tolerated in this space.

All Genders Resource Area: Open to folks of all genders! Here you can find an amazing feminist library with over 5000 resources, books, magazines/zines, and videos. as well as crisis referrals and peer support. You can also find some of their specialty outreach items, such as free pregnancy tests and latex-free condoms, in this area. This area is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.  The SFSS Women's Centre is staffed by the Centre Coordinator and Resource Assistant.

Throughout the semester we offer a wide range of events and activities, ranging from socials to workshops to discussion groups. We also offer references to counselling and support for students, staff and faculty of Simon Fraser.
