About Us

SFU Health Promotion is a unit within Health and Counselling Services which is a department of Student Services. For the last several years, SFU Health Promotion has made a strategic and evidence informed change in how health promotion is practiced at our institution. This change has culminated in the adoption of the Healthy Campus Community Initiative at SFU. This is based on a World Health Organization approach to Health Promotion. It also reflects a growing need to move towards improving and understanding contextual and settings based impacts on student well-being in higher education settings.
