A new international charter, an outcome of the 2015 International Conference on Health Promoting Universities and Colleges, signals a challenge to universities and colleges to create healthier campuses and healthier communities.  The Charter provides an action framework in an effort to mobilize higher education institutions to contribute to the well-being of people and the planet by leading health promotion locally and globally.

Tara Black, Associate Director of SFU Health Promotion acted as Co-chair of the Charter Working Group with SFU being recognized as the only Practice Leader Partner at the conference.

With contributions from over 300 campus members, SFU’s Vision for a Healthy Campus Community is an example of actualizing this charter. For  more information on the conference visit: www.internationalhealthycampuses2015.com
