A survey of the cultural patterns, social and political forces, and historical contexts that have shaped the Islamic period of Indian history. Special attention will be directed toward the Mughal empire and its decline. Breadth-Humanities.
Political Thought and Action in the Ottoman Mediterranean during the long 19th century. The overall aim of the course is to explore the political and economic transformation of the Ottoman Empire with a specific emphasis on political thoughts and their implementation across the Ottoman Mediterranean during the long 19th century.
