Liesl’s artistic achievements in writing have taken her to new heights of success, from blog writer to recognition as a published author.

Writing stories since she was small, Liesl always wanted to become a published writer. Inspired in part by her own experience becoming a mother and learning to navigate motherhood, she began writing a blog, Mama’s Log, in which she openly grappled with her transition into mothering, the tensions of being a working professional while having a family, and the complexities of raising a child in a world that is not always kind to the growing family.  In 2011 she made a transition herself from an unpublished author to a published author in print.
