A very ambitious project, the purpose of envision>SFU is to develop a strategic vision that reflects SFU’s strengths and enhances its reputation as an institution that is student-centred, research-driven, and community-engaged.

The envision team successfully developed and led the first phase of this very wide-reaching, inclusive and consultative intensive project that began in November 2010 and launched in February 2011.  The first phase included an engaging and interactive website, videos, social media campaign using Twitter and Facebook, advertising through radio ads, interviews and newspaper editorial boards as well as ads on Translink buses, focus groups, hallway chats, and student and family home visits.  In addition, external consultations were held with mayors and city councilors of seven municipalities as well as roundtable discussions with SFU supporters.
