-- 1) Final Projects be in the following format:

1 CD-Rom with 1 top level folder on it marked TEAM## where ## is your number, ex: Team01

TEAM ## - In this folder is:

- Team##report.doc

- Data ( a folder containing the all data used to create the work)

- Team##.avi (or .mov, .mp4, …)

Or a folder call Team##final for those doing a non-linear  work ( game or website or ..), have a READ_ME to explain it.

Please follow these rules, for instance on the cd I only want to see one folder with your TEAM## at the main level.

Your movie (if that is what you have) should be no larger than 300MBs and should be at least in the 500x500 range depending on your aspect ratio ( ex 640x480). Use a good compression such as dvd-mp4, h264, sorenson3 or divx(xvid). Do not use a compression scheme that needs an esoteric decoder. Do not give me a video DVD. Do not go crazy with very long credits. If you are doing something other than a movie, make use the folder option and have a README instructions file to explain how to view your work. Optionally consider uploading your movie to youtube with iat445_2011 as a tag. If you have a game or a website, put it in a folder with a read_me for how to view, run it. Prepare to demo it during the presentation.

2) The team report is in doc format named Team##report.doc.

The top of the report should have the names of all the members of the team. The report should include issues you had making the piece, roles of the team members, an explanation of the piece and things to looks for in the piece. You are generally reporting on the production, what the team did, how it went in reality and what was made as well as what you want viewers ( and graders) to notice about the piece and the production. Only one report is needed for the whole team. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST STATE ANY DATA ( animation, sound, texture, model, ...) THAT YOU DID NOT MAKE YOURSELFS AND WHERE GOT IT FROM or else you are plagiarizing. It is fine to use music, sound, textures, even models from somewhere else BUT you must specifically state what you took and where you took it from in your report. We of course grade you for your specific contributions.

3) Team Evaluation: (Due Apr 21)

We would like you individually, to rate you team. You rate your team with a 100 points for the whole team. That is, when all totaled, the scores equal 100. You do not rate yourself. Start by dividing 100 by the number of your team members, say 25% for 4 members, than redistribute up or down based on if a member did more than there share or less.

            Susie:  25

            John:    35

Frank:               (no score cause that’s me)

            Jane:    20

            Sara     20

Note they always total 100. If your scores do not total 100, they will be disqualified. We will use your and your team mates rating as a guide only with all the other information we have on your project. Download this excel sheet: teamXXrating.xls (rename the lastNameXX to your team number and only fill in for your team (leave out a score for you). Then email it to kla8@sfu.ca.
