We have some clients who are interested in working with out class. If you or your team took on their work than that would be your final project and grading would be according to the assignment page as if it were the final project ( role, story, animatic, final report). You would still be responsible for all other aspects of the class ( participation, critiques, prod and research write-ups, ...). We have two clients who are soliciting work for the class:

1) Production Firm

UbiqVisuals: A gaming and 3d production start-up made up of ex EA and ex Rainmaker talent including many who graduated from SFU SIAT and took this very class. They are looking for 3D Character Animators, Lightings, modelers, ... who have knowledge of Maya. They are interviewing to create a team from individuals to work on one of their projects ( a 3d previz animation for a major motion picture). Site: ubiqvisuals.com

Interested: Contact them ASAP at hr@ubiqvisuals.com - for an interview ( they are located in SIAT)

2) Intelligent Game Character Research

Magy El Naser is one of our faculty working in the cutting edge area of game research specifically taking 3D game characters to the next level. Her research team is looking for a group to create some 3D character scenes that we be put into a game engine to test out advanced techniques. They need a team to model and animated the scenes.

See the write-up they submitted to our class here (with contact info): Game Research
