Test format
Candidates are tested in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking Modules. If you are planning to undertake academic study, it is recommended that you sit for the Academic Reading and Writing Modules. If you are planning to undertake non-academic training, it is recommended that you sit for the General Training Reading and Writing Modules.
Speaking interviews are normally scheduled in the afternoon of the test date. Your interview time will be posted on test day. Interview times cannot be guaranteed in advance, so be prepared to stay until 17:30. We will contact you prior to test day if your interview is scheduled for another day.
The Modules are taken in the following order:
