Workshops and Presentations

We provide parenting workshops that are customized and responsive to the needs of participants. Workshop sessions offer parents and caregivers an opportunity to meet others in the community, share concerns about children and family life, and learn more about children and positive parenting. Our workshops promote parent advocacy, and parent-to-parent mutual support networks.

Our workshop series' generally run for six weeks, once per week for two hours. In conjunction with our workshops, we often (but not always) offer an early learning/childcare program for children age 18 months to five years of parents attending a workshop session. Nonmobile infants are welcome to attend with parents. In situations where we are unable to offer an early learning/child care service, the host agency may choose to arrange a childcare service on its own.

In addition to our six-week parenting workshop series', we provide single session presentations to community groups on a variety of parenting topics such as infant sleep, bedtime battles, mealtime maddness, child temperament, and guidance and discipline.

Our workshops and single session presentations are offered at various locations in Burnaby and New Westminster both on a fee-for-service and on a no-charge basis (with restrictions and subject to funding).

Please call us at 778.782.3548 for more information about upcoming workshops in the Burnaby - New Westminster area or to inquire about booking a series or presentation for your Family Support organization or business.
