Bachelor of General Studies Degree
All courses offered in the LBS program are applicable to the Bachelor of General Studies degree (BGS) offered by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). As a LBS participant, you will be admitted to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences as a BGS student. To earn a Bachelor of General Studies degree at SFU through the LBS program, you will need to complete the entire prescribed program, consisting of a minimum of 60 credit hours. The program operates under the BGS degree designation because it allows us to offer you the most course flexibility inside a multidisciplinary program.
Transfer Credit
If you have completed courses at a college or university, you may be eligible to receive transfer credit for those courses. A maximum of 60 transfer credits will be awarded. No advance credit will be awarded for courses in the LBS program.
