UILO Achievements 2000/01
In 2000/01 the University/Industry Liaison Office (UILO) at Simon Fraser University (SFU) achieved the following results:
Agreements Completed
- 5 technologies licensed, bringing the total number of licenses in force to 43.
- 2 technologies sold via assignment.
Technology Development
- 22 new invention disclosures.
- 18 patent applications filed.
- 4 new patents issued bringing the total of issued patents in good standing to 38.
- 5 new market studies undertaken; 3 completed.
Spin-off Companies
- 6 new spin-off companies created, bringing the total of active spin-off companies to 41.
- SFU holds equity positions in 26 spin-off companies.
Gross Revenues
- $313,235 from royalties, licence fee receipts and dividends.
