Living Garden Foods

For restaurants who need fresh herbs, Living Garden Foods is a herb producer that offers living herbs in vertical growing towers to keep herbs fresh until the moment they need to be harvested for dishes. Unlike imported herbs from Mexico or the USA that spoil very fast, our herbs stay fresh and alive in your restaurant for weeks, minimizing the amount of product that is wasted. Living Garden Foods was founded with the intention of creating a new food service unlike ever seen before in Vancouver. The system we use allows us to bring live herbs to your restaurant; ensuring the freshest product possible and minimal waste. 

Our team's passion for local fresh food, health and nutrition, coupled with researching the food system in university got us interested in this subject. The impacts of the California mega-drought led us to seek alternative growing methods that use significantly less water than traditional agriculture and that can grow food year round in any Canadian climate.

Our system is a recirculating hydroponic vertical farm. The system uses 90% less water and 50% less land than traditional agricultural practices.
