Biography: Ms. Susan Haslip is a professor in the law clerk program at Algonquin College. Also, she taught as a sessional lecturer in the Department of Law at Carleton University.

She is in the final stages of completion of a Ph.D. dissertation in law at the University of Ottawa on the subject of intellectual property law and Aboriginal peoples. She holds a Masters Degree in Law and Baccalaureate of Laws from the University of Ottawa. In 2007, she was inducted into University of Ottawa Common Law Honour Society, as a “Former clerk of the Federal Court of Canada (Trial Division), celebrated educator with an unwavering passion for teaching, recognized scholar, and prolific author.” She is a lawyer with research experience at the federal and provincial court levels. She has been a Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and a Member of the Ontario Bar Association since 2001.  She has published on a variety of subject areas in Canada, the United States, Australia and England.
