We have a strong Japanese presence in the IPinCH project: not only are there a number of Japanese team members, but we also support a community-based initiative on Ainu Conceptions of Cultural and Natural Heritage in association with the Center for Ainu and Indigenous Studies at Hokkaido University.
This fall, IPinCH is co-developing a workshop on tangible and intangible heritage to be held at Hokkaido University - the third such event that we have participated in there.
With this in mind, we decided to translate some informational text about IPinCH into Japanese. Now available are Japanese translations of the IPinCH project description, an introduction to the Knowledge Base, and summaries of each of the CBIs/Case Studies.
Translations are indicated on our website with a Japanese flag.
Thanks to IPinCH Associate Mayumi Okada, we also now have an IPinCH Wikipedia page in Japanese.
