The IPinCH Steering Committee

In early December, the IPinCH Steering Committee gathered in person, and via Skype, at the Abercorn Inn in Richmond, B.C., where the group spent two days in deep discussion about project design, outcomes, and dissemination strategies.

Steering Committee (SC) members Kelly Bannister, Cathy Bell, Julie Hollowell, George Nicholas, and John Welch, as well as Communications Specialist, Kristen Dobbin, Project Manager, Brian Egan, and Student Rep, Robin Gray attended. Ethnographer Alexis Bunten and SC member, Joe Watkins, also took part in some of the discussions via Skype.

Every element of the project was discussed, from community-based initiatives and working group activities, to student support and knowledge mobilization. Considerable time was spent talking about CBI final reports and dissemination strategies, as well as about IPinCH events in development for 2014 and 2015, including the large fall gathering for this coming November. As we near the official end of the project (March 2015), the Steering Committee’s biannual in-person meetings (and bi-weekly conference calls) are becoming increasingly important for making decisions about what the "legacies" of IPinCH will be.

Any input you might have about the project is highly sought after by the committee and always welcome.
