Captured Moments

Roma

Rome was the first outpost for our study in Italy. From the observations and interviews that the group from the previous year conducted, they noticed that Rome was really bubbling, contemporary architecture projects were springing up and many big studios such as M Fuksas Arch and IaN+ were moving back in. Rome is also such a historically rich city and it thus takes considerable time and effort to truly understand the city. For this reason, this year we decided to stay four weeks out of our seven weeks study there. The end result was a truly deep understanding of Italian culture from food to lifestyle. One of the extraordinary things that we learned from Rome was its layers. We could literally see the various eras of Rome's history juxtaposed with each other as you walk down the streets.
