It's very difficult to understand a new direction for architecture. What we think the new direction is is public space, and thinking about how the architecture can change the relationship between the people that are in the space and the city. And to do this, the new [space] is no longer the center of the city. It's the suburban area, and the [Renzo Piano] auditorium is one good example. It's not a suburban area, it's very close to the center, but the idea just to create outside of the historical center a new center, [is] really very interesting.
