"In the industrial design field, and spending all this time taking things from culture and everyday need in the products, do you feel any pressure from the Far East?"

"At the moment not yet, in design not yet, in production, yes, because it has started already. It began with the copy. A lot of our products already exist in catalogues in the Far East as exact copies. I think this is the first step to understanding and obtaining the complete process of a product including the design aspect. They already have the production, and the quality is also increasing, and the engineering is not only using just hands anymore but also brains. There is a big difference between countries that are producing and only used for production, that never invest in education or research and the countries that do invest in these, like India, which may be a big player in this market."
