Project Management Office

The Project Management Office is responsible for managing strategic projects that fall within the Information Technology (IT) portfolio at SFU.

These projects include:

  • Major upgrade and module implementations to the Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP suite of applications
  • Business functional and operational improvement projects
  • Other significant IT related projects

The responsibilities of the PMO include:

  • Working with the user community to identify strategic IT projects
  • Analyzing and scoping the identified strategic projects and recommending priorities
  • Presenting recommendations to the Executive Steering Committee for approval
  • Initiating, coordinating and executing approved strategic projects
