New Look for the CAS Login Page
Beginning on Saturday, July 4, 2009, SFU IT Services will begin rolling out a new visual design for the SFU Central Authentication Service (CAS) Login page. CAS provides the login page for most of SFU's web services, such as SFU Connect, WebCT and the Student Information System.
The new login page design features a clean design, including large username and password fields, bold type and lots of whitespace. It also provides a better experience for users on mobile devices, including an iPhone-specific design.
The new design will be rolled out gradually starting on July 4th with SFU Connect, WebCT and other services. Many of SFU's online services currently use an older version of CAS; as those services are upgraded to the newer CAS version they will receive the new visual design.
SFU users are reminded to be careful where they enter their SFU Computing ID and password. SFU login pages have addresses beginning with https://cas.sfu.ca (new version) or https://my.sfu.ca (old version). SFU users should ignore all messages requesting SFU Computing ID and/or password information, no matter how authentic they may appear.
