3N / SMS
This emergency text or phone messaging application is designed to broadcast text or phone message to all faculty and staff in the event of emergency.
CDR
The Call data recording system is used to manage Telephone Services at SFU.
Connect Daily
Connect Daily is a web based calendar system that allows multiple users on a network to add and edit SFU calendar events using a web browser.
DocuShare
DocuShare is a web-based document management system that lets you use your web browser to store, view, edit, and share information with other users across the Internet or within the SFU Community. Anyone with access to the DocuShare site can download and upload documents, create and manage repositories called collections, and create calendars, discussions, and other site objects. DocuShare is provided by Xerox Canada.
IRP Database
Institutional Research and Planning database is designed to work as a data warehouse for IRP to support reporting and analysis.
KCS
The Keys Control System is used by SFU Security to manage the inventory and disposition of various physical door keys used by SFU.
Photo Extracts
SFU Photo Extracts application is used for several business areas (Student Services, Department of Chemistry and Traffic and Security). It provides extraction and storage for photo identifications of SFU students, staff and faculty members.
SharePoint
SharePoint is a web-based on-line collaboration solution provided by Microsoft that helps improve business effectiveness by streamlining the management of and access to data.
Applications and Technology works extensively with a wide variaty of development and productivity platforms, including the following:
Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Expression, Crystal Reports, Omnis Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase SQL Anywhere, Microsoft IIS Web Server, Apache Tomcat, Java EE, MS Office/SharePoint and more.
A&T has developed an internal application framework, specifically for use at SFU, that allows our developers to quickly and consistently provide internally-built solutions for clients.
