Project Management Office
The Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for managing strategic projects that fall within the Information Technology (IT) portfolio at SFU. IT projects are intended to leverage technology to improve efficiency across departments and faculties as well as services used by the SFU community.
These IT Projects Include:
- Major upgrade and module implementations to the Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP suite of applications
- Business functional and operational improvement projects
- Other significant IT related projects
The Responsibilities of the PMO Include:
- Working with the user community to identify strategic IT projects
- Analyzing and scoping the identified projects and recommending priorities
- Presenting recommendations to the Executive Steering Committee
- Initiating, coordinating and executing approved strategic projects
