Documentation

The Research Computing Group (RCG) provides documentation for many aspects of FASnet suitable for users from varying backgrounds. Please chose the type of documentation you are interested in from the left navigation bar. Below is a description of the types of documentation that you will find on this site.

The FASnet User's Guide contains a lot of information about the FASnet, though it is updated infrequently.

There are some details about the FASnet Servers listed here, as well.

How-To Guides assist you with more in-depth or specific tasks such as configuring mail within a specific mail client such as Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail or Eudora, working with file transfers, etc.

Local Administrator Policies are for System Administrators and provides information for administrators who are working within a lab or group as part of the FASnet organisation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) contains answers to the most frequently asked questions

Services provides information about what kinds of services that the FASnet Research Computing Group offer, how to access them and to whom they are available.

Software-specific documentation contains information about packages installed on the FASnet.
