Food Delivery Work and the COVID-19 Outbreak

Earlier this year, students in CMNS 440: Labour, Communication and the Media, ran a research project that focused on the experiences of those working for food delivery platforms in the Vancouver area.

The project was headed by Enda Brophy, Associate Professor in the School of Communication, and seeks to draw attention to the challenges faced by workers, which include low wages, a lack of employee benefits, and the risks associated with frontline work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
