Yvette Jones, MSc Research Associate & Co-ordinator Dr. Tong Louie Living Lab Office Tel: (604) 291-5149 Lab Tel: (604) 412-7661 Fax: (604) 633-4874 E-mail: yjones@sfu.ca or yjones@bcit.ca Yvette Jones joined the Gerontology Research Centre at Simon Fraser University as a Research Associate in August 1999 and is the Co-ordinator of the Dr. Tong Louie Living Laboratory. In addition to overseeing activities within the lab, she takes an active role in site projects, preparation of proposals and annual reports, public relations and other activities that will enable the Living Lab to fulfill its mandate of promoting independent living and quality of life of older persons and adults with disabilities. Ms. Jones specializes in human bio-energetics research, particularly biomechanics in relation to physical activity and independence. After completing her undergraduate work at the University of British Columbia she went on to complete her Master of Science degree focusing on vision and locomotion research at the School of Human Kinetics. Her research interests include investigating biomechanical variables in wheelchair mechanics, lifting mechanics and pathological gait. |
