The video below illustrates our elephant nerve conduction velocity experiments. The first clip shows how we used walking to verify our ability to measure muscle activity using surface electromyography (EMG) electrodes. The second clip illustrates how we used an instrumented reflex hammer to generate a tendon stretch reflex. This reflex evoked a muscle activity response which we measured with surface EMG electrodes.
