
The DELE (Diplomas de Espanol como Lengua Extranjera) issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain's Ministry of Education, offer official accreditation of mastery of the Spanish language for citizens of countries in which Spanish is not the official language. The examinations, offered at four levels, tests your ability to read, write, speak, and understand Spanish.

In order to register, candidates must provide the following documents:
Once registered, candidates will receive a stamped copy of the registration form showing the code they have been given and will be sent the official examination information by mail, with the place, date, and time of the examination.

Please note that applications must be received before the registration end date. Applications received after this date will not be processed.
The DELE cancellation policy is as follows:
- If a candidate cancels his/her exam 30 days before the exam date, the candidate is entitled to a full refund.
- If a candidate cancels his/her exam 15 days before the exam date, the candidate is entitled to a 50% refund.
- If a candidate fails to attend the exam on the exam date, the candidate is ineligible for a refund.
Please note that it is the candidate's responsibility to inform the Examination Centre in a timely manner that he/she
wishes to cancel his/her exam. Refunds are paid by cheque and usually take 8 to 10 weeks to process from the date of your request.
The Instituto Cervantes will notify candidates of the results obtained approximately within three months from the date on which the examinations took place. The Instituto Cervantes will then arrange for individual notices to be sent to candidates through the Examination Centres in which they are registered.
The Instituto Cervantes regrets that it is unable to provide candidates with information on their results prior to the expected date of publication.
It is the candidates' responsibility to keep their postal details updated at their Examination Centre until they have received all the exam documents.
