NEW HOPE FOR ENDANGERED KILLER WHALES

Concerns for the long-term survival of Southern Resident Killer Whale family, K-pod, have been high with no new births since 2011. That was until July of this year when a new member of the pod was spotted.

Two students in SFU’s School of Environmental Science were among the first to witness the calf, boosting hope for the longevity of K-pod.

Do you know students whose co-op jobs fell through this fall and are looking to fill their schedules, future entrepreneurs who don't yet have an idea, or those who are keen to find opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration on real world problems?

The TechE program recently restructured and classes will start later this month. Please encourage students to apply soon.
