Starting in January, small amounts of some illegal substances will be decriminalized in British Columbia. Criminology professor Alissa Greer says this is an excellent step forward to reframe drug use as a health issue instead of a criminal issue. As a Michael Smith Health Research B.C. Scholar, Greer will study how the new law is interpreted and used day-to-day by police officers. |

SFU is approaching its seventh year of the current accreditation reporting cycle with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The NWCCU is one of six independent regional agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education that evaluates the quality and institutional effectiveness of post-secondary institutions. Those who wish to provide feedback to the NWCCU may send letters or submit comments on the webpage by Mar. 24, 2023. |
