SEEING THE WORLD THROUGH ARTHUR ERICKSON'S EYES |
Canadian architect Arthur Erickson, who designed SFU's Burnaby campus, also captured his travels in the 1960s and 1970s in India, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Japan on 8 mm film. Recently digitized by the SFU Archives, Erickson's footage provides insight into the architect's interests and sources of inspiration. The original travel films were donated to the university by the Erickson family last year and are now available for viewing online. |
